How to use this worksheet

Children compare partial pictures and join the two halves that create one complete object. In this cut and paste version, children cut out answer cards and glue them in place instead of writing or drawing lines.

  • Visual Perception
  • Spatial Awareness
  • Problem Solving
  • Scissor Skills

How to do it

First review one example together. Then ask the child to compare the left and right picture halves and connect the parts that make a complete object, checking each response before moving on. Cut out all the cards first, lay each one on its place, check together and glue only at the end.

Easier or harder

Easier: Pre-cut the card strip so the child only cuts single cards, and work on one row at a time.

Challenge: Mix the cards face down, turn them over one at a time and find where each one belongs.

What you need

Teacher and parent guidance

Ask why two items belong together and accept simple descriptive language before introducing new vocabulary.

Age and difficulty

For Preschool, Pre-K learners, accuracy and a clear strategy matter more than finishing quickly.
