A simple printable layout keeps attention on Sorting & Classification and Attention, with enough structure for guided work and independent review. In this cut and paste version, children cut out answer cards and glue them in place instead of writing or drawing lines.
Name the pictures or numbers on the page together before starting. Children cut out twelve animal pictures and sort them into the correct category: pets or farm animals. Cut out all the cards first, lay each one on its place, check together and glue only at the end.
Easier: Cut out only the cards for the first two rows, then add the rest once those are glued.
Challenge: Time how long it takes to place all the cards correctly, then try again on a similar page.
Introduce the first example and then step back. Ask an open question when support is needed rather than pointing to the answer.
Use the activity with Pre-K, Kindergarten learners as guided practice, independent review or a short learning-center task.
