How to use this worksheet

Designed around Preschool learners, this worksheet supports active practice rather than passive review. In this cut and paste version, children cut out answer cards and glue them in place instead of writing or drawing lines.

  • Visual Perception
  • Attention
  • Shape Recognition
  • Scissor Skills

How to do it

Talk about the goal of the page, then let the child work at a comfortable pace. Cut out the shadow cards at the bottom and glue each one next to the object it belongs to. Cut out all the cards first, lay each one on its place, check together and glue only at the end.

Easier or harder

Easier: Let the child place every card without glue first; move any card that does not fit before gluing.

Challenge: Ask the child to explain why each card goes in its place before gluing it.

What you need

  • Child-safe scissors

Teacher and parent guidance

Invite the child to describe one useful clue before drawing a line. This keeps matching based on observation rather than guessing.

Age and difficulty

The page is intended for Preschool practice. A child who is new to the skill may complete fewer items in one sitting.
